Another data point

Something else to add to our discussion in class tonight. This graphic shows reading scores for the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) from 1992-2011. Keep in mind the 2002 was the beginning of NCLB and the focus on reading and math. Thinking about our discussion tonight, I think this is a good demonstration that the reform efforts of the previous 12 years have made little difference in overall student achievement.
