Article Review Each student will select a research article from an educational journal on an instructional method and write a one-page summary of the key ideas from the article. The author’s research may be either quantitative or qualitative in nature.
Lesson Plan Assignment Students will work alone to develop a full lesson plan on a subject in their discipline using criteria set forth around best practices for classroom instruction.
Micro-Teaching Presentation Each student will present an instructional activity and assessment tool from their lesson plan to the class. The class will work as student-surrogates so that students can model instruction as it might appear to students.
